About Me
Hi my name is Alice, and I'm here to share the inspirations that have shaped me as a designer.

Inspirations
From a young age, I’ve always been drawn to bold colours and interesting textures. That early fascination naturally led to a love for crafting and creating. Unsure of where my path would lead, I began with a foundation year in Art and Design, an experience that deepened my passion for materials and making.
I went on to study Textile Design at university, specialising in Constructive Textiles with a focus on weave and knit. Over the first two years, I immersed myself in the world of weaving, constantly pushing my creative boundaries and refining my skills.
Journey
But the true direction of my work began to take shape in the summer of 2024. While visiting family in Scotland, I discovered the inspiration for my dissertation: "How has the introduction of modern tartans impacted Scottish tradition?" This research sparked something deeper in me, leading to the development of my final major project, Woven Roots, a celebration of cultural heritage, identity, and Traditional Craft.
In the future I aspire to set up my own business selling my hand woven materials in the form of blankets, cushions and more.
